Vince Schiavone, CEO of Caring for Friends, said some of the money will be used to help provide 20,000 Thanksgiving meals, complete with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables and other fixings.

Schiavone said the public is invited to drop off money, turkey and food donations and homemade Thanksgiving cards at Caring for Friends. He added that the agency could also use volunteers to cook, deliver and serve meals.

Caring for Friends feeds the homebound, senior citizens, the disabled, veterans, the lonely and the less fortunate.
